Blind Tech

I watched people roleplay over a decade ago, and it made me wish I was still an active one

It's not every day that I go out of my way to look at old gameplay and people's YouTube creations just for 'research'. But I think this time it really kind of put into perspective that I have a big imagination that is not being put to full use right now.

I picked up TwiNote not too long ago after having heard of it a lot but never having an opportunity to really settle into it, and as an effort to be a little more "accurate" rather than being completely wrong, I decided to go out of my way to research some events and player consensus from the timeframes, so that meant looking at old YouTube gameplay from 2011 and such, to kind of make decisions off that.

That involved looking at some old gameplay footage and roleplay footage naturally, a place I kind of know a little about. I was a Roblox Roleplayer, so I figured it probably wouldn't hurt to see if people treated the scene like I used to.

But gosh, it kind of put into perspective how I have so many ideas I could put to motion that won't go anywhere any time soon. Seeing people interact, potentially for the first time and just be who they were and try to fit in this little world, even if some people were a little rude was just so cool. It made me wish I had a place to go to like it, but I also feel I'm more of a misfit in roleplay communities now.

I kind of wish I had a place to go for that, now. Though at the same time, I'm also getting by with TwiNote, just enough to stay creative. Maybe I should consider sharing something publicly about my characters, then?
